Before solar, we spent four decades in aircraft mechanical and electrical modification — an industry where a loose fastener is not a callback, it’s a catastrophe. That’s the standard we bring to a roof: torqued hardware, labelled conductors, documented work.
Steve quotes the work and the MSM Solar Team runs the trucks, so the people who price your job are the people accountable for it. Costs are stated before anyone drives out. We install new systems, and we service any system — including the ones left behind when other installers closed their doors.

What areas in the Panhandle do you serve?
From Pensacola and Gulf Breeze east through Destin, Panama City Beach, Port Saint Joe and Apalachicola — 36 towns and everything between. If your town isn’t listed, call us; we’ll tell you straight away.
Can you repair a system another company installed?
Yes. A lot of Panhandle installers have closed their doors. We service and repair any brand, get it back to full production, and document what we found. Since 2022, we have a 100% repair rate.
How do I know if my home is a good candidate?
It comes down to roof age and pitch, shading, and your average bill. Our site survey answers all three, and if solar isn’t right for your roof we’ll say so.
What does battery storage actually get me?
Stored daytime production for nights, cloudy stretches and outages. Powerwall 3 runs about $15,000 for the first battery and $12,000 for each additional; other battery manufacturers are available.
How often should panels be cleaned?
In this climate, once a year is typical — more if you’re under pines or near the coast. We don’t clean panels ourselves; see our affiliates page for trusted local panel cleaners.
What are squirrel guards and do I need them?
Mesh barriers around the array perimeter. Squirrels and birds nest under panels and chew wiring; guards are far cheaper than the repair.
How long does a new install take?
Most residential installs are one to three days on site. The full timeline — survey, engineering, permits, inspection — usually runs a few weeks, and we handle every filing.
Can I add panels to my existing system?
Usually yes. We check inverter headroom and interconnection limits first, then design the addition so it matches your existing setup.
My battery isn’t behaving — what now?
Call us before resetting anything. Tell us what you are seeing and we will schedule a service call to test the battery, inverter and settings on site.
Do you inspect existing systems?
We do — pre-purchase inspections, post-storm checks, and production audits with a written report.
